Sago Networks was founded in July of 2000, and now operates a fiber network that extends from Miami, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. The company offers high speed internet access via fiber, Ethernet and wireless, and has connectivity to Level 3, Global Crossing, PCCW Global, Sprint Business Internet, Tiscali International Network, and XO. Sago has facilities in exchanges including Telx Atlanta, NAP of the Americas, Miami Data Vault, 400 North Tampa Street, and 655 Franklin Street in Tampa.

Network status

The company wholly owns its own fiber ring, scalable up to 800 Gbps, between its major facilities in Atlanta, Tampa, and Miami.

Sago Networks' facilities each feature fully redundant Foundry Networks NetIron-MLX core routers. Sago Networks also utilizes Foundry’s FastIron X series switches at the distribution layer, each connecting via 4 x 1 Gbps uplinks to the core routing systems.

In addition, the company operates a broadband wireless network that services West Central Florida, Southwest Florida, and Southeast Florida, as well as Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding areas. The network uses Alvarion and Motorola equipment, and is managed from Sago's Network Operations Center in Tampa, Florida.
