MegaPath's nationwide backbone network is enhanced through
partnerships with 40 other providers.

|
MegaPath was founded in 1999
as an IP services provider. The company's 2006 merger
with Netifice greatly expanded its network and overall offeringand
its acquisition of DSL.net in 2007
specifically strengthened its network in the northeastern United
States.

|
As a result of both the 2006 merger and 2007 acquisition, MegaPath now
boasts a nationwide MPLS-enabled fiber
optic backbone network with particular strengths in the northeast.
Available services include DSL, cable, dial-up, satellite, frame relay,
and T1/DS3/OCx dedicated circuits.
In addition to the company's core network, MegaPath has partnerships
with about 40 other providersand according to Greg Davis, the company's
vice president of marketing, the result is a unique offering somewhere
between a carrier and an aggregator. "Most customers want a single bill
and a single provider to interface with, and that's what we give them,"
he says.
The entire offering is supported 24/7 from MegaPath's redundant Network
and Security Operations Centers. According to the company, key strengths
of the NOC/SOC technical support services include the following:
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd level customer and network support
- 24/7 monitoring of all customer and network devices and circuits
- 24/7 monitoring of security events for firewalls and intrusion protection
systems
- Proactive opening of customer and network trouble tickets
- Proactive notification in the event of service interruptions, including
both scheduled and emergency maintenance
- Customer notification through voice, email and Web portal
- Ability to create, update and view status of trouble tickets via
secure
Customer Portal
- Maintenance, upgrades and change management control for all network
changes
The company offers four
different partner/reseller programs with varying revenue commitments,
commission levels and benefits.
