Top Six ISPs in Canada by Subscriber: Q4 2004 The year end results for Canada show the ILECs and DSL maintaining a substantial lead, proving that it really is possible to deploy even in a nation with large empty spaces.
ISP-Planet is very grateful to Jupiter Research Senior Analyst Joe Laszlo for putting the numbers together. Laszlo has a more detailed analysis available to Jupiter Research subscribers. Laszlo points out that according to the 2001 census, Canada had about 11.6 million households, so the top six ISPs in Canada, with 6.3 million, have about 54 percent of all households. That's very very impressive. If you have any concerns or would like to suggest any companies be added, send us a note. We would have liked to add AT&T Canada and two province-wide ILECs, MTS (Manitoba) and SaskTel (Saskatchewan) to the list, but were unable to obtain subscriber data.
