Top U.S. ISPs by Subscriber: Q2 2003
The second quarter saw slow growth in general but a few ISPs grew at spectacular rates, while others sold off a large number of subscribers or (in the case of AOL) deleted them as an accounting revision.

We use Jupiter Research estimates for Broadwing subscriber numbers, and, more importantly, for the total number of subscribers in the United States: 75.3 million subscribers. This number does not include: subscribers at work, at universities, or in government. It only includes residential consumer accounts.
