WorldTeq Rolls Out VoIP Services The Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service allows customers to make long distance phone calls within the United States for 3.9 cents per minute. International calls start at 7.9 cents per minute.
Affinity services provider WorldTeq Group International Inc. is rolling out the first phase of its nationwide launch of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) voice services. The Rockville, Md.-based WorldTeq offers a wide range of telecommunications and Internet services along with related products via independent agents, associations, sales organizations, and affiliate marketing companies, through several wholly-owned subsidiaries. "We have created 10 different packages, allowing end users to choose the plan that is right for them. Our network covers a significant portion of the United States with local access numbers to enter the network, and added toll free plans permit everyone to utilize this exciting technology," said Bruce Bertman, chief executive officer of WorldTeq. "All programs allow for both local (within state) and out-of-state long distance, to better control costs at a fixed rate. Bertman added, "While we believe that VoIP will be a major factor in global communications in the coming years, not everyone feels it provides the same stability and quality as traditional fiber voice systems, and for this reason we have bundled our 1+ long distance service as low as 3.9 cents per minute with each plan. This enables anyone to take advantage of the cost savings of VoIP and maintain their ability to send faxes and have a backup system in case of issues." End
