IT'S A SALE ON DOMAIN NAMES AND EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!

Hundreds of domain names are on the selling block starting today at WebMagic in what the company says is the largest single collection of prime, dictionary-word .com, .org, and .net Internet domain names released to the Internet community in several years.

There are some 300 names for sale including Cargo.com, CreditLines.com, Databases.com, Fiber.com, FreeChecking.com, Flooring.com, LegalHelp.com, Liquidator.com, News.org and Vacations.net. The sale was first announced on the Pasadena, Calif.-based site a week ago, but the sales were slow. So now the prices on the names have now been reduced by 50 percent.

The venture creation firm, think-tank, e-commerce and wireless software developer best known for getting Pets.com and Toys.com off the ground says it had to sell off the names for both business and humanitarian reasons.

"It's probably not the best economic environment for us to be liquidating these domains," says WebMagic founder and CEO Greg McLemore. "The timing of this offering should lead to some amazing deals for buyers. We just don't want to wait six months or a year for a recovery to set in. We would rather see these domains go to good homes now."

The prices of any remaining domains will be marked down each week until the majority of them are gone.

"Although we originally intended to turn many of these web sites into leading businesses in their respective industries, selling them now makes it easier for us to focus our energies on our core projects," says McLemore.

Those core projects include Jackpots.com, Nevada.com, Pilots.com, and the recently expanded and wireless-optimized site KLOV.com—the Internet's largest site for coin-operated arcade games.
