Hosting Software Company's Affiliate Program

Whatever the size of your hosting operation, you can sign up for SWsoft's affiliate program.

SWsoft, makers of many hosting software products including Virtuozzo and Plesk, are offering website owners, webhosts, and ISPs a 10 percent commission on any sales generated through their websites.

Tim O'Rourke, vice president of business development and sales, says affiliate sales are better for SWsoft than direct sales. "We have historically had some people coming to us directly to purchase software or services, but that's not a scalable solution for us. We have over 100 hosting reseller customers, over 23,000 registered licenses of the Plesk control panel, and we're seeing an upswell of people who want to work with us to sell SWsoft products and services."

The company recently added a "How to Buy" button to its website. O'Rourke is enthusiastic about the results. "Last month, we saw $30,000 of sales in only the second month of the website, and generally, sales were not to people we already knew."

The program installs a cookie when an affiliate's website is visited. If someone buys the software and has the right cookie, the affiliate gets their commission, even if they visited the affiliate's site months before they chose to buy. In addition, the URL is modified if a purchaser goes directly from an affiliate to the SWsoft website.

The company has affiliates of all sizes. "We have huge affiliates, and we also have individuals who are affiliates," says O'Rourke. Whatever the size of your hosting company, it seems you can sign up for this program.
