Sprint Wireless Broadband Installs Accelerate with BroadJump BroadJump's "Virtual Trucks" will be rolling to deploy Sprint's fixed wireless broadband services in a dozen U.S. markets nationwide.
Texas-based BroadJump, Inc. announced that Sprint is its first broadband fixed wireless customer. The broadband fulfillment firm will be tasked with deploying Sprint Broadband Direct, its fixed wireless Internet service offering currently available in 12 cities nationwide. When compared to cable or digital subscriber line broadband services, installing fixed wireless high-speed access is unique because a technician is always required to visit subscriber homes or offices. Through the use of BroadJump's Virtual Truck Installer, the technician is no longer required to configure subscribers' computers in addition to setting up wireless gear on-site On the road again Sprint first began deployment of BroadJump's Virtual Truck Installer less than one year ago to accelerate the rollout of Sprint FastConnect DSL access. This most recent agreement is a direct extension of the original deal. "With BroadJump's technology, we can enhance the installation process by offering our fixed wireless customers a fast and efficient service activation experience," said Evan Conway, assistant vice president of broadband marketing for Sprint's National Consumer Organization. "This represents another step in improving the overall customer experience and enhancing Sprint's ability to cost effectively support adding thousands of new customers." Quick wireless installs "We are thrilled that our solutions have proven valuable to one of the largest fixed wireless broadband providers," said Kip McClanahan, president and CEO of BroadJump. "This most recent agreement demonstrates the relevance of our solutions across all broadband environments from cable to DSL to fixed wireless." Sprint has begun rolling out Virtual Truck Installer in Wichita, KS, Colorado Springs and Denver, CO, Phoenix and Tucson, AZ, Houston, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, Fresno , San Jose and San Francisco, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, and Melbourne, FL.
