Radio Waves' Pro-Vider Base Stations

Radio Waves, Inc. released a new line of base station antennas called the Pro-Vider series, designed for cost-conscious operators utilizing the unlicensed 2.4 GHz spectrum. They are available in a variety of configurations.

Click for larger imageRadio Waves, Inc. announced a new line of low-price base station antennas (shown right). The Pro-Vider series offers eight models, with choices of vertical or horizontal polarization, 60 degree or 90 degree beam width, and four levels of gain.

Radio Waves, Inc. was founded in the early 1980s, and is headquartered in Billerica, Mass. The company was purchased by the British engineering and technology corporation Smiths Group Plc in December of 2000.

Pricing and availability
The antennas are currently available through the following authorized resellers: Tessco Communications, Talley Communications, Hutton Communications, Electro-Comm Distributing, PCS Technologies, Alliance Cable (in Canada), AF Comm Supply, and Somera. Antennas are also available from Radio Waves sales reps listed on the company website.

Provisional pricing of products is shown in the chart below (high gain antennas are more expensive than low gain antennas):
