The ORiNOCO wireless product family is a complete fixed wireless broadband solution for businesses of all sizes, from home offices (SOHO) to small-to-medium businesses (SMB) to large enterprices.

The new prices are effective today and should reduce customer acquisition costs for ISPs deploying Agere's ORiNOCO products. All prices listed here are Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and discounts may be available in some areas.

For the enterprise market
The price of the two-slot AP-1000 Access point has been reduced by $100, from $995 to $895.

The price of the OR-1000 Outdoor Router (for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications) has been reduced by $50 from $1395 to $1345.

For the SMB market
The price of the AP-500 Access Point (which includes a Gold radio card, detailed below) has been slashed from $895 to $495.

For the SOHO market
The price of the USB Client radio for desktops has been reduced by $50 per card.

The price of the RG-1000 Residential Gateway has also been reduced by $50, to $299 from $349.

There is a RG-1000 Starter Kit that includes an additional radio card for only $50 over the price of the RG-1000. Thus, the price of the starter kit is now $349, down from $399.
