Parameters entered during setup become part of a text
file, modified with "config" commands. Active, boot, and saved config
files can be viewed and transferred via TFTP. Command sequences can
even be automated with script files, uploaded via FTP.
Many configuration changes
can be applied after saving by reloading a subsystem; others require
a reboot. These features cater to production networks where reloads
must be avoided and fallback to an earlier working version must be
readily available.
Network configuration is fairly basic. Static routes can be entered, but
we didn't spot TCP tuning options. Customizations are undoubtedly performed
by InfoLibria using the built-in tech support account (disabled by default).
Diagnostic commands are available to view and configure physical options,
such as setting port speed, restarting the DynaLink, and examining packet
counts.
